New Single | Floating Up

I remember when this songwriting thing started with me and I was approaching 20 years old, it was an annual thing to take my trusty Walkman on vacation and the latest tape of music I was working on. Every now and then I wondered what the music might sound like in five maybe ten years, and imagined if any progress or mastery might set in by then. Forty-seven years later, I no longer wonder if any progress or mastery has set in, and instead try to spend as much time as possible in the here and now.

The last few years have been spent finishing things up and getting the archives and reissues out there. But no new songs. That dry streak ended this past weekend. Floating Up is a love song that incorporates poems I wrote to my wife Sherry in 2021 and 2022 with some new lyrics sprinkled in. It feels like a gift to me, and it’s right here in the moment. I hope you like it… Download and Stream https://bit.ly/3RPEk9W
