I was deeply affected by David Bowie’s passing in early 2016. I recorded Everyone Says ‘Hi’ in February as a tribute. I knew I wanted to do a new project, and a quick one. I did not know it would end up being an album of some of my favorite songs, by artists who have influenced me. This album is my tribute to these great influential artists: David Bowie, Joe Cocker, Bruce Cockburn, Peter Gabriel, Joni Mitchell, Lou Reed, Robbie Robertson, Leon Russell, Tony Joe White, Neil Young.
